This Standard relates to a blend of cresylic acid and dichloromethane suitable for use in the removal of organic contaminants and organic protective films, and for assisting in the removal of hard carbonaceous deposits from metal surfaces. The cresylic acid and dichloromethane mixture is non-flammable, and is suitable for use as a cold bath with a 50 mm water seal.
