This standard specifies the requirements for an environmentally compliant (PG 6/40) multi-pack, air drying, epoxy paint filler for application to suitably pre-treated and primed substrates and subsequently overcoated with two-pack finish coats such as those used in the fabrication of aerospace service equipment.

The paint filler is specified for use with primer to BS X 33 and finish to BS X 34 or finish to Def Stan 80-161 for aerospace use. For non-aerospace use it may be used with alternative primers and finish coats such as Def Stan 80-209. The paint filler may also be used as a primer for selected composite substrates.

This standard includes a requirement for Product Conformity Certification (PCC) as detailed in Clause 9.
