This standard specifies requirements for a chemical agent resistant, near matt IRR and gloss non-IRR paint system (both non aerospace), with a low VOC content and suitable, when used with the appropriate ferrous or non-ferrous primer, for the protection of military vehicles and equipment.
The paint systems complying with this standard must comply with the chemical agent resistance requirement of Allied Equipment Publication (AEP) 65.
This standard includes a requirement for Product Conformity Certification (PCC).
