This Standard relates to a solvent mixture suitable for cleaning spray guns and their associated equipment, eg pressure pots, brushes etc, which have been used for applying paints and varnishes. This solvent mixture may also be used for wiping down metal surfaces immediately prior to painting. It is not intended that the use of this solvent for cleaning shall be mandatory; in those cases where the use of white spirit or other solvents has been found to be adequate these uses should continue.
