This standard specifies requirements for cross-linked expanded ethylene-vinyl acetate sheets and mouldings for use as a resilient cushioning material for packaging and general industrial applications. The material has a low water absorption and may be used outside a waterproof barrier. It does not stain silver. The material may be used within the temperature range -20 OC to +50 OC.
The load bearing characteristic of the material covered by this standard is as follows:
Maximum static stress 4.0 kPa
The material is cross-linked and can be thermoformed over a wide temperature range.
