This Defence Standard specifies requirements for an electrostatic conductive foam for use as an intimate packaging material for unpowered electrostatic discharge sensitive (ESDS) devices in accordance with BS EN 100015-1, Para 5.2.1. The foam shall be suitable for integrated circuit pin insertion.
Electrostatic conductive foam shall not be used as an intimate packaging material for powered ESDS devices.
All blowing agent gases shall comply with the Montreal Protocol requirements.
