This Defence Standard specifies both the materials and the manufacturing requirements for eight styles of case used for the packaging of Service equipment up to 400 kg mass.
It includes the use of plywood, particleboard (oriented strand board (OSB)) or medium density fibreboard (MDF) for construction purposes.
It is a manufacturing standard only and contains no information on dimensional limitations or the use of the cases in package design, these are included in Def Stan 81-41 (Part 2).
