This Defence Standard specifies the requirements relating to the manufacture of two types of tube. Type 1 covers, four tubes with end caps and Type 2, three tubes without end caps for use by the Services for packaging supplies. It is a manufacturing specification only and contains no information on the use of the tubes in package design described in Def Stan 81-41 (Part 2).
