This standard specifies the requirements of flat veneer plywood for the construction of containers and furniture to Military Levels for the packaging of Service materiel except for Special-to-Contents (STC) containers (STCC) for RAF use, when only temperate softwood shall be used.

Packaging is considered to be a structural application.

For packaging design using plywood refer to Def Stan 81-41 and related specifications.

Note; this standard specifies the minimum grades in plywood classification as required by the MOD for a given packaging level.
