This Defence Standard relates to the packaging of assembled open and shielded ball and roller bearings up to 20 kg mass and the component parts of such bearings supplied as spares or dismantled up to 2 kg mass.

This Standard relates to Military Packaging Levels P, N, and J, in accordance with Def Stan 81-41.

This Standard does not cover the packaging of miniature and instrument precision bearings of less than 27 mm outside diameter, or of bearings within plastics cages.
