This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for two grades of oil intended for use as lubricants for highly loaded aircraft gears, bushes and other mechanisms. The light grade is suitable over the temperature range minus 40°C to plus 110°C and the medium grade over the range minus 30°C to plus 120°C.
