This standard specifies requirements for a SAE Grade 40 lubricating oil having a minimum engine performance of both ACEA E2 and API CF to ensure fitness for purpose. OMD-113 is primarily for use in marine and certain land compression-ignition engines and certain marine gearboxes. It is suitable for engines ranging from the small cylinder normally aspirated type, to the multi-cylinder, highly rated, pressure charged type.
