This Defence Standard (Def Stan) specifies the requirements for proof of projectile armour plate with a thickness of 3 mm to 300 mm and includes manufacture, inspection, dimensions, mechanical properties, ultrasonic examination and test requirements. The plate is defined in accordance with the purchase order. The quality of production shall be assured by quality control, inspection and testing procedures defined in a PCS.
