SCOPE AND SUITABILITY

This spcifications governs four type (see para 3) of aircraft engine thrust gmenntation field intended primarily for military applications – the engine types for which each fluid is suted are stated in para 3.

Fluid provided to this specification shall possess satisfactory performance and properties when used in appropriate aircraft and/or aero engines operated by the ministry of Defence or other Government departments.

Where an option is opern to the Purchaging Aithorty (para 5.2.1.2) the contract doucmetn shall clearly state how that option has been exercised.

Fluids supplied shall comply in all respective with the appropriate requiremtnts of this specification unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Issuing Branch of the Ministry of Defence or by the appropriate Quality Assurance Authority.
