SCOPE AND INTENDED APPLICATION

This specification covers the requirement for a heavy duty corrosion inhibiting paint primer and finish resistant to water, organic solvents and aircraft operating fluids. It is intended to be used over a suitably pretreated surface.

The finishing schemes shall consist of one or other of the following combination of materials:

Scheme 1 — — — primer

Scheme 2 — — — primer and finish

Scheme 1 is designed for use where minor condensation only is likely to be encountered. Where resistance to aircraft operating fluids, heavy condensation, or where external protection is required Scheme 2 shall be used.
