Introduction
The Treasury published details of new arrangements for the handling of pensions for staff transferring from central Government Departments and Agencies to a private sector contractor under the TUPE Regulations in a paper, Staff Transfers From Central Government: A Fair Deal For Staff Pensions in June 1999. All Government Departments and Agencies have been required to reflect the provisions of the paper in their procurement practices.
This guideline sets out:
a) the main provisions of the Treasury guidance
b) how these are to be reflected in MOD procurement practices
