Powder Metallurgy Principles and Applications PDF

In the ten years, since the publication of the last comprehensive text on powder metallurgy in the English language, both our understanding of the fundamentals and the technology of powder metallurgy have rapidly progressed. A new treatment of these subjects is, therefore, called for. Having taught a course in powder metallurgy for over 30 years, I am well aware of the need of a textbook for such a course. However, in writing this book, I have included not only those basic principles which should be the primary subject of a textbook, but also the applications of powder metallurgy from an engineering point of view. Without an understanding of how powder metallurgy is applied for practical uses, it is difficult to grasp its significance as a discipline. Making applications an integral part of the book should make it of value not only to those who want an introduction to the field, but also to the practitioners in the growing powder metallurgy industry.
