Pertains to cast and forged steel flanges (welding neck and straight threaded) and threaded stubs specially designed for end connections making use of lens gaskets. These flanges should only be used with the lens gasket which is specified in this standard. This standard is similar in intent to ASME B16.5, but covers a higher pressure class and lens gasket type connection.
