This standard provides material characteristics, application methods, handling, shipping, and installation procedures for polyolefin resin coating systems extruded over soft adhesives for the prevention of external corrosion of underground or submerged pipelines. It also presents guidelines for establishing minimum requirements to ensure proper application and performance of these coating systems, and for qualifying and controlling their quality. This standard covers proper inspection and repair techniques to ensure their long-term performance. This standard is maintained by Task Group (TG) 265.
