The 2011 edition of TMS 402/ACI 530/ASCE 5, TMS 602/ACI 530.1/ASCE 6 and companion commentaries developed by the Masonry Standards Joint Committee (MSJC) are referenced by the 2012 I-Codes It also has been updated to be consistent with ASCE 7-10 Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and other Structures which has changed substantially particularly for wind loads. The document also has been recalibrated for allowable stress design resulting in more efficient designs. Provisions for infill masonry have been added and the layout has been changed to side by side Code/Commentary and Specification/Commentary format for ease of use.
