Purpose
1. The purpose of this Allied Aircraft Electric and Electromagnetic Considerations Publication (AAEP) is to:
a. standardize the electrical connections for static grounding,
b. establish methods and procedures to be used on aircraft and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to safely dissipate static charges, and c. ensure personnel safety during aircraft servicing and ground handling.
2. Standardization of static grounding connections and procedures facilitates cross-servicing of allied aircraft at host nation locations.
