Purpose

This part of the Manual contains the safety principles deviating from international regulations which are to be used by visiting Forces during transport of military DG in host countries.

These principles are not intended to inhibit a visiting force from imposing its own, more stringent regulations.

This part of the manual does not apply to movement of ammunition as military tactical transport. Derogations from RID are available to military consignments of substances or articles of class 1 (see RID 5.2.1.5, sub-sections 5.2.2.1.8, 5.3.1.1.2 and 5.4.1.2.1(f) and 7.2.4, special requirement W2).

Deviations from the provisions of this part of AMovP-6 may be made in the case of emergency transport to save human life.
