PURPOSE

The purpose of this AOP is to describe munition life limiting factors and their scientific basis and describe the methodology used for conducting whole life assessment of munitions.

The assessment process may include aspects other than testing, such as modelling and in service surveillance.

Environmental testing is described in AOP-15 (Reference 1) which is complementary to this AOP.
