NATO APP-11(A) PDF

The contents of APP-11(A) relate to tactical command, control, and coordinating of information dissemination. In order to avoid duplication and differences between publications, normally only such material will be incorporated in APP-11(A) that can be removed from parent publication. Consequently, material that cannot be removed from the parent publication (e.g., that which would be used by non-holders of APP-11(A)) will not normally be incorporated. Messages of a training nature will not be incorporated.

APP-11(A) consists of all approved formatted, selected structured user formats and voice templates with supporting instructions and data tables.

Where applicable, formatted messages in APP-11(A) have replaced their structured message counterparts and should be used. Hence, the message forms found in this document are the only acceptable forms for record traffic transmission of the specific messages listed. Those instances where both formatted and structured messages appear are for the use of units which are unable to employ formatted messages. The formatted version is to be used whenever possible.
