The aim of this agreement is to register national acceptance of AEP-5 which defines the procedures to be used in the laboratory for the testing of diesel and gasoline engines, and of gas turbine engines using an identical method or to analyse the tests conducted in the laboratories of other NATO countries on the basis of this method.
