1.0 SCOPE
This specification covers the Corporation's requirements for the material and properties of steel bolts and studs. Dimensional requirements and general specifications for standard bolts are covered in the Engineering Standard Parts Book, Section B. Nonstandard bolts and studs will be covered by engineering drawings which should refer to this specification for material and property requirements. For purposes of this specification, the term "bolts" also includes cap screws and SEMS*; the term "studs" also includes quenched and tempered U-bolts.
