Restricted Chemical Substances

All product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the MPAPS B-50 specification.

APPLICATION

This specification covers a power steering fluid used for factory fill in all trucks and school buses that use Ross and Sheppard, or TRW/Bosch, steering systems (Navistar Bulk P/N 2643472R2). 15W-40 engine oil (PN 3814727R1 per MPAPS B-21) may also be used in the Heavy Duty application. All trucks and school buses may also use Dexron III type ATF (P/N 6133055R1 per MPAPS B-6822). All fluids used in the steering system must pass 4.2 Steering Test via recommendation from all applicable component suppliers.
