INTERN MPAPS D-40B1-B2 PDF

This specification covers the general requirements, property and performance requirements, quality, identification, qualification, source approval, and quality control for materials designated under MPAPS D-40B1 and D-40B2.

APPLICATION

This specification applies to exterior-grade, general purpose polycarbonate acrylic-styrene-acrylate terpolymer (PC/ASA) is an amorphous thermoplastic material that offers good resistance to both UV and moisture resistance intended for exterior applications whereas structural stiffness is required for decorative application such as grille carrier, grille surround and bumper curtains. Virgin and recycled PC/ASA resin grade designated under MPAPS D-40B1 are integrally colored parts, are not meant for painted applications, but intended for Class A applications, with an UV stabilizer.

Virgin and recycled PC/ASA designated under MPAPS D-40B2 are meant for painted, decorative film and non-Class A applications that do not require UV stabilizer.

PC/ASA is not intended for chrome plated application
