INTERN MPAPS D-42B1-B2 PDF

This specification covers the general requirements, property and performance requirements, quality, identification, qualification, source approval, and quality control for materials designated under MPAPS D-42B1 and D-42B2.

APPLICATION

This specification applies to exterior-grade, general purpose polycarbonate acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (PC/ABS) intended for exterior truck bodies whereas structural stiffness is required for decorative application such as fender extenders or valence panels. Virgin and recycled PC/ABS resin grade designated under MPAPS D-42B1 are integrally colored parts, are not meant for painted applications, but intended for Class A applications, with an UV stabilizer.

Virgin and recycled PC/ABS designated under MPAPS D-42B2 are meant for painted, decorative film and non-Class A applications that do not require UV stabilizer.

Recycle PC/ABS is not permitted to be used on chrome plated applications
