This specification covers the general requirements, property and performance requirements, quality, identification, qualification, source approval, and quality control for materials designated under MPAPS D-70B1 and D-70B2.
APPLICATION
This specification applies to exterior-grade, 40% Long Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene chemically coupled resin for exterior applications whereas structural stiffness, high toughness, high tensile strength and flexural strength is required for structural application such as Rear Skirt Reinforcement Brackets, Aero Brackets and Bumper Side Structure Components. Virgin and recycled PP +40 LGF resin grade designated under MPAPS D-70B1 are UV stabilized parts intended for Class A applications.
Virgin and recycled PC/ASA designated under MPAPS D-70B2 are meant for non-Class A, non-visible applications that do not require UV stabilizer.
