Part 1 of the specification describes general and performance and restricted chemical substance requirements, which pertain to all products. Qualification, quality control and source approval, and shipping and identification requirements, common to all products are also included in Part 1. Specific requirements for individual fabrics, such as finished weight, strength, abrasion resistance, etc., for each fabric type (Type A, Type B, etc.), are covered in Part 2 of this specification.
