This test method provides a procedure to evaluate the resistance of interior, exterior, and under hood/chassis components to cosmetic damage caused by various chemicals. Testing as prescribed in this specification is to assess incidental exposure to the listed chemicals and does not certify compatibility of a material for extended or continuous in-service exposure. Application requirements may necessitate extended durability testing outside of the scope of this standard.
