Service Condition

This specification uses the following service conditions:

SC4 Exterior- Severe:

Exposure that is likely to include occasional or frequent wetting by rain or dew and less exposure to road salts and other corrosive materials. Subject parts may include grille surrounds, badges, and other similar components.

SC1 Interior- Mild:

Exposure inside cab in places that are generally warm and dry and rarely handled, including most interior trim pieces, dome light bezels, emblems, inside windshield moldings, and other similar parts.

APPLICATION

This specification covers the electroplated Decorative Chromium (DCR) used on interior or exterior plastics. These parts may be exterior grilles, light bezels, nameplates, interior ornaments, knobs, or similar applications.
