APPLICATION.
This specification covers three process used to manufacture molded rubber parts and the various types of synthetic or natural rubber materials that are used in each process. The molded rubber parts covered in this specification may be suitable for either interior or exterior applications. Type 1 material is made from a dipped process using Grade A (natural rubber), Grade B (chloroprene), or Grade C (PVC) materials. Type 2 material is made from a slush mold process using Grade C (PVC) material. Type 3 material is made from an injection molding process typically using Grade D (EPDM) material.
