This specification covers the general requirements, identification, inspection, property and performance requirements, quality plan, and source approval and quality control requirements for these TSR compounds.

APPLICATION

This specification covers thermoset rubber (TSR) molding compounds used in truck applications. These TSR compounds are generally molded or extruded and may contain recycled materials. For thermoplastic elastomers (TPR/TPE/TPU), see TMS-6040.

Note: Mount properties are listed in Table 8 which is in a restricted issue appendix, TMS-6039-R. Contact Materials Engineering (referenced in Section 8.0) for further information.

Restricted Chemical Substances

Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the CEMS B-50 specification.
