Restricted Chemical Substances
Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the CEMS B-50 specification.
APPLICATION
This specification covers five types and five grades of either polyvinyl chloride or non-blooming, low migration rubber floor mats. These floor mats may or may not also be used as sound barriers.
Type I: Rubber mat with a colored pattern of polyvinyl chloride coated to the rubber stock.
Type II: Same as Type 1 except without the vinyl coating.
Type III: Solid polyvinyl chloride mat.
Type IV: Polyurethane floor mat.
Type V: TPO engine tunnel cover blanket.
Grade A: Low mass or sound requirements, typically used for dash or engine cover insulators.
Grade B: Mass requirements for medium sound transmission loss.
Grade C: Mass requirements for high sound transmission loss.
Grade D: Mass requirements for very high sound transmission loss.
Grade E: Mass requirements for very high sound transmission loss.
Grade Z: No sound transmission loss requirements.
