Restricted Chemical Substances

Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the CEMS B-50 specification.

APPLICATION

This specification covers a power steering fluid used for factory fill in medium duty trucks and school buses that use Ross and Sheppard steering systems (Navistar Bulk P/N 2643472R1). Note: Heavy duty and severe service vehicles use Shell Rotella 15W-40 engine oil (Navistar Bulk P/N 3814727R1) per CEMS B-21 and some export vehicles use Dexron III ATF. All fluids, used in the steering system, must pass 4.5.8 Steering Test via approval from all applicable component suppliers.
