Restricted Chemical Substances

Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the CEMS B-50 specification.

APPLICATION

This specification covers two types [Type 1-Gun/Spray Grade and Type 2-Brush Grade] of water borne, clear latex sealers used to seal gaps and joints primarily on the firewall and under cab areas. It has sufficient UV and weather resistance for minor sealing applications on exterior vertical surfaces. It is intended for application on painted surfaces at temperatures of 16ºC (60°F) or above and should not be applied in temperatures below 4ºC (40°F) or where the sealer will be exposed to wet conditions before drying.
