This specification covers the general, durability, performance, design, quality, qualification, shipping and identification, source approval and KCC requirements for truck and bus seat assemblies. Four service categories are covered: Medium Duty, Heavy Duty, Severe Service, and Bus passenger seats (Note: Bus drivers' seats are considered the same as Medium Duty). Requirements for individual materials used in the seat assembly are covered in separate specifications.
