Telecommunications cabling is covered in Section 27 10 00, BUILDING TELECOMMUNICATIONS CABLING SYSTEM. These wiring systems primarily involve voltages of 1,000 volts and less and mainly involve interior systems. When voltages greater than 1,000 volts are brought into a facility, consult and use Section 26 11 16 SECONDARY UNIT SUBSTATIONS; Section 26 12 21 SINGLE-PHASE PAD-MOUNTED TRANSFORMERS; and Section 33 71 01, OVERHEAD TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION.
