This document describes the methods used to test power line carrier (PLC) channels on the National Grid Company plc (NGC) Supergrid System for the purposes of commissioning of new equipment, routine tests and fault investigation. It applies to the PLC systems which employ phase-to-phase coupling with coupling devices of phase segregated type. The manufacturers' instruction manuals for the equipments associated with the PLC system, if available, should also be referred to.
