PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This document forms part of a suite of documents which define National Grid's functional and performance requirements for new plant.
This specification is applicable to insulator strings for 132, 275 and 400 kV a.c. overhead lines, comprising cap and pin insulator units with glass or porcelain dielectric. This specification does not apply to composite insulators. For details of composite insulators refer to TS 3.4.18.
