The following requirements are covered by this Specification:
(i) Vehicle mounted communications systems. These systems permit personnel involved in overhead line work to keep in contact up to 5 km from the vehicle, using the vehicle as a repeater.
(ii) Trailer mounted communications systems. Used in similar situations as "a" above but the trailer mast mounted aerial extends the communications range.
(iii) Substation site radio systems. Used in a substation or other site to provide communications between personnel working around the site and the NGC Corporate Telephony Network.
