This Specification is for non metallic optical fibre cable construction with single mode fibres for use in ducts and subducts.
At substations optical cable jointing between duct cable and substation cable will be undertaken at optical joint boxes outside the substation.
The cables shall not be used for direct burial nor used to connect optical cables at terminal towers to substations nor used in substation cable trenches.
