Optical cables detailed in this specification are for installation by direct burial or laid directly in closed cable trenches. The cable specified is suitable for telecommunications or other applications where equipment requires optical connections on a site. If this cable is used within a high voltage site it must be wholly contained within the boundary of the site earth mat. It is not suitable for use where the cable will extend beyond the boundary of the earth mat or between sites where the earth mats are connected. There are no limitations in use if the cable is installed away from a high voltage site.
