PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This technical specification defines the functional, performance and testing requirements for the equipment employed to provide synchronised measurement of voltage and/or current phasors on the UK Transmission system. These devices are commonly called Phasor Measurement Units (PMU) or Synchronised Measurement Units (SMU). The Substation Phasor Data Concentrator (PDC) will be addressed in a separate Technical Specification.
