The purpose of this publication is to provide the latest available information to glass dealers, distributors and installers on the procedures recommended by the Mirror Division of the National Glass Association (NGA) for the proper receiving, storage and transportation of high quality flat glass mirror products with the objective of helping preserve the integrity and prolonging the life of mirrors. Proper storage, handling, fabrication and good installation practices go a long way in reducing potential failures or damage to mirror quality. The Technical Services Division of the National Glass Association (NGA) has produced this Glass Technical Paper solely for informational purposes. This Paper was developed by dedicated member volunteers and subject matter experts. The original version of this document was published in 2005. It was updated in 2019 and republished in February 2024.
