NORSOK R-003 includes the safe use of lifting equipment used in lifting operations in the petroleum industry. It does not cover fall protection equipment. The standard shall help establish, maintain and further develop an acceptable level of safety for personnel, environment and material values in the planning and execution of lifting operations.
