This Specification details the requirements for a weatherproof loudspeaking telephone which may be directly or indirectly connected to British Rail's Private Branch Network.

The telephone will be required to be fitted with a 12-button keypad for dialling into either BR's PABX network and directly or indirectly into the public switched telephone network.

Typical applications will be to enable staff or members of the public to make enquiry or emergency calls from station platforms.
