This specification is for Single Phase Transformers to be used in the supply and utilisation of alternating current for railway signalling circuits. A range of transformers is specified which shall be regarded as standard. This specification shall apply to other transformers, the special details of which will be specified by the purchaser.
The transformers will generally be installed indoors in either signal box relay rooms or lineside location housings.
